Basic Beekeeping Course 2018
The Colonial Beekeepers Association will present a four day Basic Beekeeping Course in October & November.
The course will be held on four consecutive Wednesdays skipping Halloween, 31 October. A Saturday Field Day will be conducted on a date to be determined in the Spring. Classes will be held at the Northampton Community Center in Hampton, Virginia. The Saturday Field Day will be held in a local bee yard.
The course consists of lectures and hands-on demonstrations with an emphasis on sustainable, chemical-free practices. This course fulfills the educational requirement of six (6) hours of classroom instruction in introductory beekeeping training for the qualified level of the Virginia Master Beekeeper Program.

The course is FREE. A recommended text, Beginning Beekeeping from Dadant, will be available for purchase. Other classroom materials are being provided or can be taken off the club website: Basic Beekeeping Student Guide and Beginning Beekeeping – Beekeeping Basics.
